Rose Mary Pothier

Rose Mary (Williamson) Pothier, 56, of Liberty, MO, passed away Sunday the 17th of January at St. Luke’s Hospital. Rose was born June 5th, 1959 in Colorado Springs, CO, to proud parents Andrew and Anna Williamson. Rose was a passionate daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Much of her time was spent helping others in need, along with spreading as much love and happiness to her family as possible. Rose cherished her family above all. She often found joy in caring for her grandchildren and the sight of their faces would always lift her heart. Rose was also an avid animal lover and spent many hours spoiling her beloved dog MJ. Rose is survived by her mother Anna (Hunter) Williamson of Liberty, MO; 2 sons, Jade Pothier and wife Teresa (Lewis) Pothier of Kearney, MO and Jordan Pothier of Liberty, MO and his fiancé Cari Griffin of Atlanta, GA; 2 grandchildren, Parker Pothier of Kearney, MO and Tiahna Pothier of Liberty, MO. She is also survived by her brother Andrew Williamson Jr. and his wife Karen (Watts) Williamson of Excelsior Springs, MO; sister Diana (Williamson) Lighthizer and her husband Mark of Sullivan, IN; brother John Williamson and his wife Christina (Callihan) Williamson of Shawnee, KS; brother James Williamson of Liberty, MO. Rose is also survived by two half siblings; Brother Richard Williamson and wife Cynthia of Naples, FL; Sister Dena (Williamson) Ridge of Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by her stepmother Lorene Williamson of Grain Valley, MO. Rose is survived by 3 step-siblings David Haggart, Cynthia (Haggart) McCoy, and Darin Haggart. Rose leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, along with many other loved ones. Rose was preceded in death by her father Staff Sgt. Andrew Williamson Sr. Services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Raphael Chapel; 5401 N. Sycamore Dr. Kansas City, MO 64119, with visitation starting at 6pm followed by Service at 7pm and time with family and friends afterwards in the Reception Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to family.
