Johnny DeWayne Lee “Jumping Johnny Lee” 68 of Holden, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home in Holden, surrounded by loved ones. Johnny was born to parents, Betty Chandler (Snyder) and John Lee on September 10, 1950 in Sedalia, Missouri. He later moved to Kansas City. He spent early years of his life racing motorcycles where he acquired the nickname, “Jumping Johnny Lee.” Johnny spent the majority of his working years at McCalister’s Auto Body Repair in Grandview, Missouri. He enjoyed trap shooting along with playing golf and sleeping through golf. Johnny married Peggy Jenkins on April 5, 1985, together they developed a love for morel mushroom hunting, fishing on Truman Lake and tending to the garden they grew together. Johnny is survived by his children: Mark Lee (Bobbi) of Holden; Robert Rimmer (Charlotte) of Mishawaka, IN; Pamela Lee of Harrisonville; Shannon McDonough (Jason) of Kansas City; Katie Christian (Tim) of Hubert, NC; Jessica Lee (Tenny Barber) of Holden; thirteen beloved grandchildren: Adam Preston, Cyrus Truninger, Jacob Lee, Elizabeth Rimmer, Aaron Lee, Johnathan Truninger, Kierra West, Joey McDonough, Braydon Truninger, Makenzie Christian, TJ Barber, Reilly Christian and Hadley Christian; Siblings: Keith “Dale” Yeager (Brandy); Belinda Parker (Dave); Richard Lee (Sue) many nieces, nephews, several lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Lee, Parents; Betty Chandler and John Lee and his stepfather, Richard “Dick” Chandler and his ex-wife, Erma Reilly. Friends and family are invited to attend to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 21st at 2pm at his home in Holden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jumping Johnny Lee Memorial Fund. Family will be donating contributions to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care. Final arrangements entrusted to Cashatt Family Funeral Home.
