Anna Marie (Manley) Beach passed away at 3:19am on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at Kingswood Retirement Center in Kansas City MO. She was 89 years old. She was a long time farmer with her husband, Robert Dee Beach in the Lawson MO area. She loved farming, animals, and the outdoors. She and her husband Bob were lifelong baseball fans, first of the KC A’s and then the Royals. She had a quick wit, loved to laugh, told it like it is most often, and towards the end of her life to get through pain or challenges would say, It is what it is. She believed in dealing with life as it is and making the most of it. She was born in Seneca, Kansas in 1927 to Severina Ann Koelzer and Joseph Wilkins Manley. She had 6 brothers and sisters, Sylvester, Lucille, Leo, Patrick, Mary and John, all deceased. She was the youngest. When she was small they moved to the Humansville, MO area to find better farmland after the dust storms of Kansas. She met her husband Bob there when she was 17 and they were married at 18. After 2 years of Bob serving in the military and shipping out of Houston, TX, they moved back to Humansville area to start their family. Shortly after that they moved to Kansas City for work and then set about realizing their dream of a farm. By 25 they were purchasing a farm near Vibbard MO and built their life and their family there. She is survived by 3 children, Roberta Ann (Bobbie) Martin, Kansas City MO, Joseph D. (Joe) Beach and wife, Barbara, Kansas City MO, George Edward Beach, and wife, Joyce, Blue Springs MO. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, Timothy R Martin, Stephen J Martin, Kevin P Martin, Joseph D Beach Jr, Russell Beach, Nicole Beach-Blomquist, and Zachary Beach, and 9 great grandchildren. She will be buried at Lawson Cemetery next to her husband of 71 years, Bob. The service will be at her long time parish church, St. Anns Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs MO on Friday, Sept 2nd at 11am with visitation at 10am.
